Formulas for Successful Living in the Digital Era

As far as Flossin Media goes, at this point in time, what excites you and what do we have to look forward to?

Well, Flossin is in a real interesting place, and ironically so, in some ways, I think historically the book has always reflected my state of consciousness at any given time, but I think it’s moved beyond that to some degree. At this point, I think that what’s exciting about it is looking at the next level of communication and media and entertainment and those types of things based on publishing and trying to figure out what is the next and best most exciting presentation; a collaborative presentation. A kind of wholistic approach to this media game. I am excited to say that technology today is going in such a direction; back in the day it used to be that most media buyers have a specific pathway of buying media. They buy print or they buy TV, they buy radio they buy digital you know all these things in separate pathways and I think we were the first ones to start talking about this surround sound media and that is instead of looking at one of these pathways we should look at the totality of them all and pointing them all in in the direction of who hired you. How we’ve arrived here today is that instead of going back to print like we when we started, we have become more community engagers, platform creators, and content creators. What we are trying to do now is get out in front of the current levels of media which are blogging, podcasting, and interactive print and digital graphic interaction. We are beginning to look at building onto our traditional media outlets by layering and advancing our use of digital technology development and social media. This is starting with integrating the digital era into our print productions.

So, that’s what I’m really excited about for Flossin right about now. Not only just bringing to light formulas for successful living but I’m talking about bringing these integration points; these integrations of media and then beginning to build on those platforms and begin to see what that looks like moving forward.  People can be excited about is that we are getting ready to come out, here pretty quickly in the beginning of the second quarter, with some new technology being integrated and added to our traditional platform; essentially how we can bring to light formulas for successful living in this era of digital outlets. Making sure that we have a platform for the Black community to access some of the progressive technological ways of doing things.
